The Award
The Card Smart Award is an annual award for 'Outstanding Achievement' in the Australian and New Zealand Cards Industry.
This prestigious award, now in its 6th year, is awarded to a company that was nominated and selected as the most outstanding achiever by an independent Judging Panel of cards industry experts.
Nominations are now being accepted.
Nominations for the 2006 Card Smart Award will be accepted during October and November 2006.
In order for an organisation to be in the running to win the 2006 Card Smart Award, a nomination form should be submitted to award@card-smart.com.au by 30th November 2006.

Nominations can be submitted by any individual or organisation for a company who has been an outstanding achiever in the Australian and New Zealand Cards Industry during 2006.
Nominees we be requested to provide an overview of their outstanding achievement and supporting information for each of the judging categories:
- Competitiveness
- Contribution to Industry
- Customer and Merchant Acceptance
- Implementation/Market growth
- Innovation
- Financial Performance
- Sustainability
- Technology
- Time to Market

Selection Process
An independent judging panel of cards industry experts selects the Card Smart Award winner based on the information provided by the Nominee.
The panel scores how well each Nominee performed in each judging category. The Nominee with the highest total score wins the award.
Additional information may be requested of the Nominee by the judging panel during the selection process.
Recognition
The winner of the award will be announced and presented with the award trophy amongst industry peers at the Cards and Payment Symposium (CAPS) held in Melbourne in January 2007.
Select members of the press and other award applicants are informed of the winner and other outstanding achievers via a media release. Articles on previous winners have been published in The Australian Financial Review (AFR) and The Sheet (Banking and Finance Newsletter).
The achievements of the winner and other outstanding achievers are also acknowledged on our website and in our 'By All Accounts' external newsletter.
Previous Winners
2005 - FIS Card Services Asia Pacific (Certegy), in November 2004 CCSAP commenced processing the credit card accounts
for Krung Thai Cards (KTC) from its Asia Pacific processing centre based in Melbourne. KTC is Thailand's largest
issuer of credit cards and currently has 1.4 million accounts. In addition to credit cards CCSAP also processes a loan product for KTC
which now has 180,000 loans.
